Your Hospital Team
When you stay overnight at a CHA hospital you get a team of doctors, nurses and other staff to care for you.
On the Medical/Surgical floors, your care team will be led by a hospitalist, a doctor who is an expert in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Because these doctors are in the hospital 24-hours a day, they can respond quickly to your health needs.
Your hospital team will also include a care manager. This nurse or social worker with help you, your family or caregivers and your primary care doctor make sure you have the support you need when you leave the hospital.
Because we are a teaching hospital, your care team may also include doctors or students from Harvard Medical School or the Tufts University School of Medicine.
Need Advanced Care?
Almost all of your health needs can be addressed by the experts at CHA Cambridge Hospital or CHA Everett Hospital. But if you need highly specialized care, your team can admit you to one of our hospital partners in Boston:
- Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). As a CHA patient, you have direct access to BIDMC, one of the nation's preeminent academic medical centers. Because we share medical records with BIDMC, you will always get coordinated care and the very best treatment.
- Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) for Children. Young patients benefit from our longstanding relationship with MGH for Children. This includes direct admission for overnight care.
